Pick the right specification

For everyday work and study, look for at least an Intel Core i5 (8th generation or newer) or an equivalent AMD Ryzen, 8GB of RAM and a 256GB SSD. An SSD, rather than an old hard drive, is the single biggest thing that makes a used laptop feel fast.

Test the screen and keyboard
